WOW I HAVE NOT POSTED ON HERE IN A LONG TIME....

A LOT HAS HAPPENED SINCE MY LAST POST SO I AM GOING TO UPLOAD A BUNCH OF VIDEOS FROM THE PAST MONTH.

Wow Plaza

Yesterday Russell, Robin and I headed to POP Wakeboard School at WOW Plaza. The boat lake was in use all day by campers so we decided to take a few laps on the system 2.o. It was super fun. The rails there are really long and perfectly built. It was hard to figure out how to ride on the new system but we managed to figure it out. I am really excited to go back and get some tricks dialed.

Bus Trip

The Slaysh Beach Club Bus Trip was a blast. We had a great day of wakeboarding, partying, and relaxing. It was also the same day as the Coor Light Party so that meant for some great people watching. WOW people are funny at the beach club.

Jump Start

On Tuesday Robin and I headed up to beach club to ride for the day. It was a cold day but we still had a lot of fun. After  a while the cable operator convinced me to try a ralley start. I took a bunch of belly flops and face plants. This clip is from the first one I rode out of.

Memory Laps

Well the Legit Video Release Party went off!

After the Penguins took home the cup tons of people showed up.

We first premiered The Gun Under My Pillow around 11:30

As it finished the crowd started chanting LEGIT so I figured it was time play my movie next.

The crowd really got into the flick and would cheers when big tricks got landed.

By the end of the night everyone was REALLY wasted. 

So for you people that cant remember much from the evening here are a few photos that might bring back a memory of two.

Flying Home

I just got an update from Johny and Kent. Right now they are on there way back from the CWC in the Philippines. They should be arriving in Ottawa sometime Friday.

Johny send me a list of tricks he has on film and wants me to add them to his part in LEGIT.

From the looks of that list Johny got some shit done!

I cant wait to see it.

Matt Proof

When building a wakeboard rail these days I always have to ensure that the rail is Matt Proof.

What is Matt Proof?

Well you see I wakeboard a lot with Matt Hyde and he looks more like a giant hockey player than a wakeboarder. The dude is something like 6 foot 5 and weights 250+ pounds. 

If the rail is not build strong he will break it. So Matt Proofing may involve adding a few extra screws or building the rail out of 2*6 instead of 2*4

The Princess Rail Video

Last night I got some of the footage of The Princess Rail from Robin and put this little edit togeather. Robins is a really good filmer... The riding in this video sucks but it still looks cool.

Yesterday Russell and I decided to try and make a rail to winch. This was definitely the sketchiest rail I have ever built. Regardless we still had a fun session on it and both came back smelling like creek water.

I will post up some footage from the day shortly.

A Day in the Park

Usually in April Russell is rippin around the park at Tremblant

This year he is rippin around a park in the Glebe.

No-handed Cartwheel

Well its April and although its getting warm, its still not warm enough to get out behind a boat. Today the crew decided to grab the winch for a day of riding.

We hit up this park just off Bank St (a very busy street in Ottawa)

Since it was flooded from all the snow and rain we decided to winch across it and see what we can jib.

We grabbed this culvert and placed it in the middle of the puddle so that we could slide it.

It was a super fun to slide... short... but fun..

After a few hits Andy decided to do a no-handed cartwheel off the end. (not on purpose)

This crash was so crazy it made me want to puke after watching it.

I also filmed it from another angle and it looks to be even crazier. Check it out in Legit. 

Like a trooper Andy bounced back and hit it a few more times.

Andy, I am glad your not dead.

All and all an amazing day.

Winter meets Spring

The plan today was to film some scenic shots of Ottawa for "Legit" but once I got up this morning it realized it was snowing like crazy out.

Just went we though spring was here.

Looks like I am going snowboarding this weekend!

Summer Meets Winter Results

On Sunday Erika organized the "Summer meets Winter Rail Jam"

The ski resort that she works at let her build 2 pools of water that we could winch across. The Half Cab crew then built a 48 foot up - flat - down that we could slide across

Both wakeskates and wakeboards threw down in 1 hour heats as many tricks as possible. There was a hot tub at the side in case you needed to warm up between hits. 

I ended up in second place, and got a couple of photos and video shots that are sure to make "LEGIT"

Summer Meets Winter

Hey everyone,

Erika is putting on a summer meets winter rail jam. The plan is to dig 2 pools out of the snow (yes... snow) and have a wakeboard rail contest. This will be going on at the same time as a snowboard rail contest located next to the pools. Sounds crazy.... and cold! But not to worry there will be a hot tub there to keep the riders warm between hits.

This should be a blast and a great chance to get a few extra clips for "LEGIT"
